John Elliot Released a Suicoke Collaboration & You Can Buy It Now

Without a shadow of a doubt, Suicoke’s long list of collaborations would have most footwear manufacturers weak at the knees. From projects with the likes of Brain Dead, Slam Jam, monkey time, and very recently, Highsnobiety, Suicoke has now handed over the creative wheel to none other than John Elliot. And in case this Japanese brand was still somewhat of a mystery to you, we rounded up everything you need to know about it right here.

Having tackled the recognizable, cornerstone MOTO silhouette, John Elliot outfits the chunky slide in two subdued options of white & black, and black, charcoal & olive, as well as a special pixelated variation set in amongst a predominantly grey frame.

Despite the limited edition pixel colorway being sold out for now, the other options are still available and can now be shopped from the links below.

Raekwon & Ghostface Model Ronnie Fieg’s Timberland Collab

Ronnie Fieg and KITH have joined with Timberland for the previously-seen Chapter 3 boots, as you can also look forward to a coinciding apparel and accessories capsule. Here to showcase the collection are none other than legendary Wu-Tang members Raekwon and Ghostface Killah.

Alongside the 10″ 40 Below Boot and 6” Construct Boot are co-branded hoodies, long-sleeve tees, beanies, and caps, with the branding and colorways being inspired by early to mid-90’s vintage Timberland clothing. KITH tagging has in turn been retooled to showcase Timberland’s iconic font.

With prices ranging from $50 USD to $145 USD, Fieg’s KITH x Timberland collection arrives Saturday, January 20 at all KITH shops and online at 11 a.m. EST.

With a successful launch in 2017, starting with the Bravo sneaker, LA-based footwear label No.One looks to gain more momentum this year with four new styles that is based on the three silhouettes introduced in 2017 — Alpha, Bravo and Charlie.

The first offering is a blacked-out Shearling Stich Down Alpha, made from Italian Shearling lining and 3M reflective boot laces, detailed with 24 points of hand-stitched fluorescent seams. The second consist of a Hand Painted Buffalo Bravo, crafted from mineral tanned, full grain, semi aniline buffalo hide, finished off with detailed paint.

Third is the Embossed Nu Buck Bravo, comprised of buffalo hide with stressed natural grains coated with 3M water resistant bull nubuck, and finally, a Deconstructed GoreTex Charlie silhouette that is outfitted with an exclusive triple layer, featuring a vintage German Army camouflage GoreTex fabric.

With prices ranging from $575 USD to $725 USD, availability at No.One begins Monday, January 22.

Rick Owens Is Collaborating With Birkenstock

Rick Owens is gearing up for a collaboration with German footwear company Birkenstock, as confirmed by Business of Fashion.

Due to arrive as part of Birkenstock’s traveling mobile pop-up space dubbed the “The Birkenstock Box,” the upcoming drop sees the designer reinterpret three classic styles from the brand’s footwear roster using felt, pony hair and full-grain leather.

For those in the Los Angeles area on March 16, the new collection will be unveiled at the pop-up shop located in front of Owens’ La Brea store alongside styles from the brand’s main line and select Rick Owens pieces.

Speaking of the collaboration, Owens said: “I agree with the values Birkenstock has promoted all along — steady longevity and personal well being. And being able to combine our aesthetics with this project together in LA feels really satisfying.”

For those looking to cop a pair online, the new styles will be available for pre-order on March 1 and can be purchased from Rick Owens and Birkenstock sites from March 15.

After linking up with Marni for some vibrant color-blocked raincoats, Swedish brand Stutterheim has teamed up with Slovakian shoe label Novesta on a pair of rain-beating, all-weather Chelsea boots.

Made of natural rubber with a 100 percent cotton lining, the classic unisex Chelsea boots come in three colorways; all-black with a contrasting sole in white, red or grey.

Selling for $145, you can cop the Chelsea Rainwater boots online and at Stutterheim flagship stores in Stockholm and New York from February.

After dropping a selection of tennis socks with Reebok, Vetements are back with two pairs of water bottle-inspired slides. Outlandish in every way, the mismatched pairs arrive as part of the label’s SS18 collection.

Constructed from a textured rubber, each pair is inspired by fictional bottled water companies. Available in red and blue, the slides feature imaginary brand labels over the mid-foot and naturally, distinct typographic branding over the insole.

If you’re really looking to show off this Spring, the slides are priced at $590 and are readily available at select retailers, including Vetements and MATCHES FASHION.

Bella Hadid is back starring in a new campaign for Giuseppe Zanotti, this time for Spring/Summer 2018. Famed photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have in turn captured the spirit of the new collection which draws inspiration from an endless summer, all while channeling ’90s sensibilities.

Alongside Hadid, model Kit Butler is also highlighted in the project, styled by Carine Roitfeld and with art direction coming from Giovanni Bianco.

“This campaign really represents the authentic energy of the brand—modern, sensual, powerful,” says Giuseppe Zanotti. “And then there’s Bella, back for a second season, who brings with her a rock-and-roll attitude that’s also playful and seductive. The overall effect is compelling, contemporary, arresting.”
